The Lost Princess

On the night of July 16^th, 1918 the Russian Royal Family was brutally and unnecessarily murdered. The family of seven consisted of Tsar Nicholas II, the crowned Queen Alexandra, their only son and heir Alexei, and the four grand duchess Titania, Olga, Maria and Anastasia. History tells the story of the royal family being herded into a small room in the basement of their mansion, where twelve gunmen shot and killed off Russia’s royal family. However, there were many complications that occurred while the murders took place. Russian records explain that the small room were the murders took place quickly filled with smoke from the continual gun fire. Each of the twelve gunman had a specific target of the royal family to kill, for efficiency purposes. After each gunman fired several shots at their specific target the fire ceased and the door to the room was opened to let out the smoke. As the air cleared, to the gunmen’s shock, some of the girls sat up and began screaming. Shots were again fired and the screaming of the girls continued. Records explain that the gunmen were ordered to bludgeon the girls to death with their rifles. That is where the story ended.

However, after the assassination of the Royal Family rumors began surfacing around Russia that one daughter survived. Popular belief claims that it was the youngest daughter of Tsar Nicholas II, Anastasia Romanov. 

In 1982, in a woods in Siberia, the bones of the Tsar and his family were found. The rumors of Anastasia's miraculous survival were fueled further because two bodies were missing; the Tsar’s son Alexei's body was missing along with one of his daughters.

              Throughout the years since the murder of the Romanov family, many women have claimed to be the grand duchess Anastasia. Unlike most of the claimants one of them didn’t attempt to chase the throne of Russia. This women lived out her life in fear and only told her relatives about her extraordinary story. This women has since passed and her relatives now believe that the time is right to share the truth behind her life. Now forensic scientists have the technology to examine her bones and find out if she is in fact Anastasia Romanov, the Grand Duchess of Russia.

              Before we look at the claims, we should first examine what happened on the night of the assassination.

Russia was in the middle civil unrest in 1918. The people of Russia looked to the royal family for help, however the Tsar didn’t do much in the way of helping. The Bolsheviks led by Yakov Yurovsky, were in charge of assassinating the royal family. The Bolsheviks were a group of people in Russia trying to overthrow the monarchy. So they devised a plan to get rid of the royal family. Yurovsky told the Tsar that fighting had broken out in nearby areas, so to insure the safety of his life as well as his family’s, they were to wait in the basement. Then, Yurovsky told the royal family that the people of Moscow believed that they were dead and to re-insure the people the family was alive and well he would take their picture and send it back to Moscow as proof. As the family lined up to take the false photograph, the twelve gunmen marched into the room. Yurovsky read a death sentence to the Tsar and his family and the shooting commenced. Like I stated in the beginning, the gunmen fired so many shots the room quickly filled with smoke. Eye witness of the assassination said that the bullets bounced off the girl’s bodies as the men began shooting. The royal family took many precautionary measures because of the war that was going on in their own backyard. One of those measures included lining each of the daughters and Queen Alexandria’s corsets with diamonds, pearls and rubies. This explains why the some of the daughters were still alive after the gun fire had ceased. After the men were certain that everyone was dead, the bodies were loaded up into a truck and driven to a nearby woods to be disposed of. This is where the stories begin to clash. The men try to figure out the easiest way to get rid of the royal bodies. They first try to burn the Tsar’s body however that proves to be difficult and tedious. A story comes from one of the gun men who was in charge of murdering the family. He claims the while the others were figuring out what to do with the bodies he witnessed Anastasia wake up in the bed of the truck. He states that he helped her out of the truck and told her to run away. Another story involves a witness of the crimes against the royal family. A women witnessed the gunmen attempting to get rid of the Tsars body. As the men were burning the body, she helped Anastasia out of the truck and led her to safety. Regardless if those stories are true or not, the fact is that there are two bodies that were not at the disposal sight and were still missing.

What happened to Anastasia Romanov? Did she meet the same fate as the rest as her family or did the Grand Duchess survive? To be continued…                     

The Greatest Disguise

              What on earth could be so important to keep secret that individuals who cross a red line will be shot on sight? Area 51 is the most mysterious, not so secret, secret location in the United States. Stories have been told, elaborated and conjured up about the military base in southern Nevada. Why is the base kept under lock and key? What could possibly be going on behind closed doors that the government doesn’t want citizens to know about? What on earth could be so important about Area 51? Maybe that’s just it, the answers don’t lie on earth. The answers are simply, out of this world.

              Chuck Clark is studying astronomy while juggling running from the government. Before the government was on to Clark, his studies began at a military base in southern Nevada, otherwise known as Area 51. Clark states that he stayed within the boundaries of the military base, however his house was raided by the FBI and the joint terrorist task force. Area 51 started in the 1950’s, but the government denied the existed of the base. Now they recognize it as an air force operating location. Area 51 cannot be found on any maps. The CIA has funded certain projects the base conducts since the late 50’s. Chuck claims that the base is used to create a series of air crafts that have no congressional oversight. He also states that he has witnessed multiple firers being stared inside the boundaries of the base, although he doesn’t know what was being burned. Chuck knew five men who worked inside of the base that also lived in Rachel, the nearest town to Area 51. Out of those five men, only one is alive today. The other four men died around ages fifty to sixty years old. Many of the widows have spoken out and demanded answers in their husbands early and unknown deaths.

              Michael Chrat believes that Area 51 holds a more sinister and harmful secret than any extraterrestrial being could possess. He believes that the base isn’t home to aliens but to technology that is beyond imaginable. Chrat claims that huge technological advances have been made in the last fifty years that would even put Star Wars to shame. The crafts and machines that are being constructed have zero oversight and no boundaries. He shows computer generated forensic composite demonstration of a lighter than air vehicle, otherwise known as a Neutral Buoyancy Craft. He also shows images of and F19 craft, which most of the time is reported as a UFO. Also he shares that the SuperStall is a vehicle that has the capability of taking off vertically. Chrat has dozens of other crafts that are just as mind blowing and “out of this world” as they come.    

              Could Area 51 be disguised as a military base to cover up alien air crafts? Or is the greatest disguise faking the alien conspiracy to cover up human technological advances that the world is not ready to behold?

Plum Island

            Have you ever seen something that you couldn’t explain? Something that you have never seen before, and maybe something that you never want to see again? Plum Island has a dark history during the period of World War Two. Since then, the island has pretty much stayed off of the radar. However, several strange creatures have been found not far from the island. History is a great learning tool, the problem with history is that sometimes it repeats itself.    

Kenneth King is an expert on bio-warfare. He believes that a major bio-weapon threat is among us. There were 200 high containment facilities in 2001, now there are at least 1,356 facilities. These facilities are supposed to be used if there is a bio terror threat. However, King states that the facilities are very dangerous because proper precautions are not being followed.

              Plum Island is officially called Plum Island Animal Disease Center. The island is run by Homeland Security. They claim that the island is not used for biological weapons, however the government accountability office indicated a report in 2003 that they were doing a project for the department of defense to manipulate camel pocks so it would be similar to small pocks. Since then, there have been several outbreaks on the island itself. The Montauk Monster was found washed up on the shores of Long Island in July of 2008. The creature looked to be a mix between a sheep and a raccoon. Scientists couldn’t explain exactly what species the creature was. There was a second creature that washed up on the shore of Long Island not too long after the first. Many people believe that this creature was cross bread. This means that two animals were combined, in attempt to create one.

              In 1978 there was a serious accident on Plum Island. There was some type of screw up with the negative pressure system at the main laboratory. This caused a foot-mouth disease virus to spread out. There have been reports of contaminated raw sewage flushed into Long Island as well. Even after 911 there have been several serious outbreaks of foot and mouth disease. Experiments preformed on ticks are a big issue at Plum Island. Scientist inject ticks with different diseases. This practice started during World War Two, as an alternative on eliminating the Jews. This practice is said to still be performed today. People believe that the infected ticks are the reason behind lime disease. Because of this speculation people demanded to see the records of the ticks, dating back to Work War Two; they were told that no such records existed. Doesn’t that sound strange? It is standard procedure for the government to record everything. Also the Nazi party is known to have keep unbelievable records throughout World War Two. It seems very convenient that there are no records or traces of the ticks.

              Plum Island is not only a dangerous facility, it is also frightening. The idea that a disease could get out of containment so easily is scary. Some people speculate that this will be the cause of a catastrophic event involving bio warfare. Others say that an event like the movie Contagion is bound to happen. The question isn’t whether it will happen or not, it’s whether the contagion is by accident or if there is a more sinister plot behind Plum Island.            

Reasoning

            Conspiracy theories often make me question and wonder about the past. I know that in the beginning it was just something to do; a form of entertainment I suppose. When the hook of the conspiracies started to deepen, I didn’t pull away. The questions and thoughts each new theory brought up really gave me a creative outlook on the possibilities of other alternatives. Conspiracy theories provoked me to question situations that don’t quite make sense. Parents hate that dreaded why question. Because of these theories, I have come to realize that asking the why questions are extremely important.

              Looking at all of the different theories and the possibility of reconstructing a different story than the one you may have been told to believe, is a very powerful idea. With each new conspiracy I have the power to control my ideas and opinions of each of the individual theories. I think when I started watching these conspiracies, I felt like I had control and power over my own decisions. When you start to realize that another person’s opinion doesn’t have to be the same as your own, you feel powerful. It’s a strange thing to describe, but that is the feeling I got when I started watching conspiracy theories.

              I was completely fixated by conspiracy theories. More often than not, the theories involved murder, scandal and tragedy. I wanted to believe that people were generally good; however I found out the exact opposite, people were sometimes evil. I think when you grow up in a relatively normal family, that life sometimes becomes boring. All of these stories had adventure and mystery. The people in them, typically lived thrilling lives. Even if the stories ended in tragedy, it was still an escape.

              I understand the importance of asking questions now. I want to find the truth; however most of the conspiracy theories cannot provide the truth. Conspiracy theories are the reason I decided to study journalism. It’s a pretty bold move to use an entertainment source to validate choosing a career path. I think that the knowing the truth is the most important thing in any sort of relationship. If I can help uncover the truth in any situation, I would be satisfied. Sometimes people think that a lie is a safer alternative to the truth; I don’t agree. A lie is a slow process that eventually becomes dissolved. Yes, the truth sometimes hurts, but the pain disappears and is quickly replaced with gratitude.                     

Marilyn Monroe

               Norma Jean Baker was born on June 1^st, 1926 in Los Angeles California. She grew up as an orphan due to the fact that her mother was mentally unstable and her father was unknown. Norma Jean was a lonely child searching for only one thing; love. She would spend her life searching for love, more specifically searching for a husband. Norma Jean connected love with men because that was the one thing missing throughout her life. But the world does not know her as Norma Jean. To the world she is known as, Marilyn Monroe.  

              Marilyn was, without a doubt, Hollywood’s most unforgettable starlit. She was put on the earth to act, but tragically, she was taken from the earth too soon. Marilyn died on Sunday August 5^th, 1962 at twelve o’clock in the morning. She was only thirty six years old. Her death brought on enormous amounts of speculation. Whether the speculation came from the uncertain details about her death, or the simple fact that she was so famous that she couldn’t possibly have committed suicide. She was a depressed movie star, sex symbol and lived a rather scandalous life however, that isn’t reason to believe suicide was her answer to get out.

              Sargent Jack Clemmons was the first officer to report to the scene of the crime in the early hours of August 5^th. When he arrived to Monroe’s home, at four thirty in the morning, three people were waiting for him, Marilyn’s internist Dr. Hymen Ingleberg, Dr. Ralph Greenist her psychiatrist and her housekeeper Unis Murry. When Clemmons originally interviewed the trio all three claimed that Unis Murry found Monroe just past twelve o’clock in the morning. He then responded with the question of why the three did not call police right away, instead they waited over three hours later. Clemmons claimed that not one of the three witnesses could answer him. 

He also was put off by the way Monroe’s body was found. She was found lying flat on her stomach in what officers call a soldiers position. Clemmons had, in his career, witnessed several overdose crime scenes. He said that individuals who overdose will end up in a crippled up position because usually with overdosing people expericnce convulsions or seizers. Monroe’s body appeared, to Officer Clemmons, to be staged. Soon after Officer Clemmons arrived, he was replaced by state troopers. When Monroe was examined by medical officials they found a large amount of sleeping pills in her system. Her death was ruled a probable suicide. Mainly because her suicide had probability. She had tried to commit suicide in the past and most of those attempts involved barbiturates. The unanswered questions were gaining speed; however, no corners inquest was ever conducted, no grand jury was forced to investigate and no eye witnesses were ever put under oath.

 The truth behind Marilyn Monroe’s death is long gone and buried. Her life was so grand and extraordinary, that people did not want to believe suicide was the cause of her tragic. The only truth we really know is the fact that Marilyn was hurting. She had been depressed and lonely for years. Her failed attempts of suicide were cries for help, the help she so longed to receive, came a little too late.               

Voices

            What if your thoughts were not yours? If our thoughts control our actions and our thoughts are not ours, then who controls our actions? People all around the United States claim to hear other voices inside their heads. Voices that do not belong to them; so who do these voices belong to? Maybe these people are crazy? Or maybe they have an undiagnosed mental illness? Regardless, the number of these claims are growing. People are claiming that their minds are being invaded. The invaders? The United States Government.

            Dr. Terry Robertson had an alarming number of patients who all complained about the same problems, voices in their heads. They claimed that someone was interfering with their minds and sometimes these patients even felt physical reactions when they were near microwave radio towers. These towers are a part of a mass communication system that were built for nuclear war. The towers are now linked to the conspiracy of mind invasion. Dr. Robertson believes that his patients might be subjected to physiotronic weapons and bio-communication technology. Most of the people Dr. Robertson sees are individuals that are very intelligent, over 50% have a college degree and 12% have post graduate degrees.

            These people who hear the voices are called T.I.’s, which stands for targeted individuals. In Pennsylvania there is a man named Harland Gerard who claims that these voices have been in his head for over 30 years. He says that he thinks the reason he is a targeted individual is because of remark he made about George H. W. Bush. He said that “If I can’t support the Reagan administration, then I certainly can’t support moving the head of the C.I.A. into the White House.” He stated this to a Republican Party official. Gerard then claims that right after he made that remark he heard all kinds of static in his head. He claims that every year the voices grow louder. Sebastian Saberountas, an Electronic and Magnetic Field Radiation Protection salesman, claims that in the past few years his business has increased. The reason behind the increase is because people are claiming that they are being targeted by the government. Sabrountas says that the people that make these claims are intelligent people. People who have written books and believe that is the reason they are being targeted. These people call him to ask about his products, which include just about anything you could think of. He sells hats, paints, underwear, anything that might help keep out electronic/magnetic waves.   

            Are these people really crazy? Do they hear voices because they were purposefully put there? Or is this an attention seeking issue? People say that the government is targeting them because of their comments and actions. Whatever the truth is, the realization that these people who claim to hear voices in their heads is saddening. Something is going on with them, whether that be self or government inflicted. I believe the voices are real, whether they belong to the government is up to you.             

Hidden in Plain Sight

              This post will be another theory, not a conspiracy theory. This post also includes prior knowledge of human evolution.  

To understand the depths of the creatures I am going to talk about we have to go back, way back. Have you ever heard of the Aquatic Ape Theory? This theory explores the idea that instead of our ancestors running away from the sea, they went further into it. As time passes, our ancestors evolve, they become less human and more aquatic. This transition takes millions of years of course, just as evolution of human history did. The idea behind this theory is simple; as the water raised some apes moved back towards the land, others, moved into the sea.

In 2010 a recording was found. This recording captured the sound of something scientists had never heard before. The scientists who found it, call it The Bloop. The most significant thing about the recording was the fact that the scientists detected dialog among the recordings. The creatures were communicating with one another, which is incredible. The scientists found a creature with smart enough intellect to communicate. Soon after the recording were found a massive beach whaling happened on the coasts. There was suspicion that the military was using sonar technology underwater and that was somehow affecting the sea life. During this time the scientists stumbled upon another astounding discovery; they found part of a body that washed up with the whales. This was unlike any other sea creature known. The body had a tale of that of a dolphin however there were huge differences in comparing this creature to any other aquatic animal known. They immediately thought of the recordings. The body they found was almost mistaken as a dolphin or a manatee. However, they discovered that the creature had webbed hands, and more importantly their hip bones were of that of our oldest ancestor; apes. These animals once stood up right and walked. Some refer to these creatures as mermaids. As scientists where piecing together the mysterious body, another strange occurrence happened. They found what looked to be a handmade spear. The spear was held together by seaweed and had carving on the sides. This information was extraordinary because there have been lost lasting fisherman tales that talk about boats catching already speared fish in the middle of the oceans. All of the pieces where coming together. There was a creature out there that human had not seen or heard of. This creature is intelligent, the creature can communicate and most importantly it can hide. As the scientists were closing in on the creature and trying to uncover the mystery, disaster struck. The U.S government took all of the findings and stated that the case was of national importance. The scientists were left with nothing except the recording. They were absolutely devastated and furious. The creature has stayed hidden for millions of years and does not want to found.

The Bloop has yet to be determined as a new species. Every piece of evidence found was taken by the federal government. The scientists who made these discoveries eventually gave up. They realized that anything they find would again, be confiscated. They also realized that whatever this creature was, does not want to be found. Humans do not co-exist with other animals well. We use, take and destroy animals. These creatures would be better off if they stayed hidden. Whether you believe that these creatures are mermaids or not is not the point. There is a creature out there that scientists are unaware of. The Bloop is the evidence for that. Whatever these creatures are, they do not want to be found.             

Never Forget

September 11^th, 2001 will forever be remember by millions of American citizens because of the horrific events that unfolded. That day was the first time that continental America was attached. Many watched in shock as they witnessed the planes crash into the twin towers, many were terrified for the future of America and many still wonder and dispute the reasoning behind the events that unfolded that morning.

From the very beginning several people have speculated foul play and many fingers were pointed at the U.S. government. Eye witness accounts have confirmed numerous events that do not match up to the information the government has given Americans. Eye witnesses say that there were several explosions and that was the reason behind the collapsing of the towers. They also claim that black smoke consumed the car parking lot of the tower before the building collapsed. Why would the bottom of the building be consumed by black smoke if the building had not yet fallen? The planes hit the towers in the middle and upper levels of the buildings. Smoke would have started from the top and made its way to the bottom of the buildings. Eye witnesses said that the black smoke came from the bottom of the building right after they heard, what they describe as, explosions. Firefighters that were attempting to help people who were trapped in the building said that each level seemed to have its own set of explosives that went off as the building collapsed. People in the lower levels of the towers said that they were knocked to the ground by explosions as they were attempting to escape. News footage that was recorded that morning shows both north and south towers collapsing. In the footage explosions are clearly heard. Whether this noise is due to the tower coming down or not is debatable. However, the footage also shows explosion like lights coming from the inside of the towers as they are collapsing. In this footage it does appear that there was an explosion, several actually. News casters talk about the explosions as they watch the events unfolding as well. A physics professor from NYU, Steven Jones, claims that the towers did not fall because of the plane crashes, but from pre-positioned explosives. He questions the physics of the towers falling, claiming that if a plane would have caused a building to fall then the building would have toppled over, it wouldn’t have fallen in a perfect descent to the ground.

The attack on the Pentagon conspiracy is a whole theory of its own. There was no evidence at the Pentagon that supported the fact that a plane hit the building. Nothing was ever found, no tail end, body or a fusil lodge from a plane, which makes no sense. The Pentagon did not collapse like the towers, there should be evidence that supports a plane crash, yet none is found. A former engineer that worked for NASA, Dwayne Deits, explains that the damage at the Pentagon does not add up to a seven fifty seven  plane. He explains that if a twin engine plane crashed into a building then there would be two, very prominent, engine holes. There are no such holes that stood out after the Pentagon was hit. People speculate about what actually hit the Pentagon that day because the evidence does not point to a plane. An easy solution to the theory would be to look at the security footage. A report indicated that at least 85 cameras were up and working the morning of the incident. Within hours of the event all of the tapes were confiscated by the FBI. It took five years of law suits to get the defense teams to release just three minutes of footage. There were no photos are videos released that show a plane hitting the building. All the three minutes of released footage shows is an explosion. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXgtsavot5A) April Gallop, a U.S Army specialist who worked inside the Pentagon the morning of September eleventh, claims that she does not believe a plane hit the building that morning. She never once saw the airplane, or anything that would indicate a plane hit the building, even though she was only thirty feet from the impact point. April was taken to the hospital to recover from her injuries, when she got a visit from the Military Brass.  They asked her what she thought happened that morning, she responded that a bomb had exploded. Then immediately informed her that it was not a bomb it was planned terrorist attack and a plane crashed into the building. April’s military leaders threatened her and others to keep quiet about the whole event.

The Pentagon was in big trouble the day before the crash. Coincidentally there was an estimated 2.3 trillion dollars missing. Its seems pretty convenient that right after a significant amount of money goes missing an accident happens that could potentially be a good cover up for that type of situation. The exact place that was struck by whatever hit the Pentagon that morning, was where the records for the missing money would have been.

September 11^th, 2001 will be forever remembered in American history. People come together on that day to celebrate freedom and to remember all of those innocent people who perished on that day. Others look back on that day and question the real motives behind the attacks. Where the attacks really a part of a greater cover-up plot? Is the government to blame? Regardless of what you personally believe, I do not think you will ever know the answers. The government does keep information from American citizens. Sometimes because they are trying to protect people from the truth. I don’t want a sugar coated, watered down explanation. I want the truth. I do not think I will ever got the full truth. I don’t know if I would accept the real truth either. I think the secrets of September 11 will stay just that, secretes. The Virgin Queen

              There are many secrets that were buried along with Queen Elizabeth I, otherwise known as The Virgin Queen. Queen Elizabeth I never married and she didn’t produce an heir to take her place either. This post won’t be about a conspiracy just a couple of theories that may explain the reasoning behind Queen Elizabeth’s negligence to marry and not produce and heir to England’s thrown.

              Elizabeth ruled over England for forty four years and today we know this time period as England’s golden age. She was very successful in her political duties to the country but many historians are still puzzled about her disinterest in marriage. Many theories circulate, even today, behindnElizabeth and her disregard for marriage.

The small, quite village of Bisley claims to know the reason why Elizabeth never married. A legend has spread throughout the small village and it claims that Elizabeth has not a she, but a he. Young Elizabeth was staying in the village for a short period of time, while staying at Overcourt, a hunting village of her fathers, King Henry VIII, she was in the company of a young boy around her age. However Elizabeth, soon after arriving, fell very ill and died. Her caretakers were terrified because her father was due for a visit and they didn’t not want to be held responsible for the young girls’ death. According to the theory, the caretakers quickly came up with the idea of dressing up the young boy Elizabeth played with. This boy resembled the young princess in complexion and hair color and the swap would have been unrecognizable. Elizabeth was known for her man-like features and she was rather good at hunting and men sports. There are portraits painted of her that look manly rather than feminine. The Bisley boy theory does explain why Queen Elizabeth I avoided marriage, although it is a stretch, even for a theorist.

Another theory surrounding Queen Elizabeth I decision to never marry lies in modern science. Some people are born with a condition called Complete Androgen Sensitivity Syndrome. People who have this syndrome have both male and female sex organs, and when they are born they appear to have female genitalia. However, people with this condition do not have a uterus or ovaries instead they have undescended testicles. Queen Elizabeth I had certain characteristics that those who have this condition have, such as long hands and fingers. In paintings of her she always is presented to have extremely long fingers. Elizabeth strictly stated that her body was not to be embalmed for any reason when she died, which supports her reasoning for not wanting people to find out about her condition. Also Elizabeth wore very thick white face makeup and some suggest that it was to cover up stubble. She was known for wearing neck collars and that accessory could have been a tool to cover an Adams apple.

Queen Elizabeth I was one of the most influential rulers of England. She was a pioneer for women’s rights and could be called a modern day feminist because of her bold decision to rule without a husband. Her life and privet decisions produce many questions among historians today. Was The Queen really a woman? Or was she both a man and a women? Queen Elizabeth I died at age sixty nine and she took whatever secrets she had, with her when she died.

Life After Death

The British royal family has been an interest to the public for centuries. People cannot seem to get enough of what goes on during their daily rituals, future plans and their impending love interests. Another interest the public cannot seem to stop talking about is the extraordinary life and horrific death of Princess Diana. Her life was broadcasted to the world for years. She was someone who lived an extraordinary life however, Diana is more widely known because of her all too ordinary death. Diana died on August 31^st 1997. She, along with her romantic interest at the time, Dodi Fayed, were involved in a car accident that resulted in tragedy. People have speculated for years that Princess Diana was murdered. Many believe that her ex-husband, Prince Charles, was involved. Was Diana’s life cut short because of a fatal accident, or is there a more sinister plot surrounding the death of Princess Diana?

Diana was adored by the public. She had grown very popular in a very short period of time. People loved the relatable aspect of Diana. She didn’t pretend to be someone she was not, she acted as an ordinary person, which was considerably different compared to the rest of the royal family. Often times during public events Diana would out shadow her husband, Prince Charles. She stole the spotlight which didn’t seem to bother Charles, at least in the beginning. Charles soon began to feel almost unwanted in the public’s eye because Diana was receiving all of the attention. This, along with other problems, was a contributing factor in the royal couples divorce.

After the divorce, which was a devastating event in the public’s eye, Diana let the smoke blow over. She stayed out of the headlines and focused on her personal time to start over and begin a new life. Diana graced the headlines once again when she began a new romantic relationship with Dodi Fayed. Their relationship seemed to be moving at a rather fast pace, which was a concern to the royal family. There were engagement rumors surrounding the couple’s relationship. The royal family was supposedly not going to stand for the future king, Prince William’s, step father because he was a Muslim. Days before the crash, a letter said to be written by Diana, was sent to her former butler, Paul Burral, said that she had a suspicion that there was a plot to have her killed. Another strange occurrence happened on the night of December 31^st, there were reports that the driver of the vehicle, Henri Paul, was drunk behind the wheel. The French police released a statement that said Henri Paul was more than three times over the drunk drinking limit. However, only four days after that statement was released there was a press conference held and at the conference a security video was released. The footage was from the night of the crash that captured Diana, Dodi and their driver all in a hotel lobby, just moments before the crash occurred. In the footage, Henri Paul didn’t appear to be intoxicated what so ever. He seemed to be acting quite normal and this footage speculated even further questions of what really happened that night. Another disconcerting fact about the crash was that the ambulance took a reported two hours to arrive to the scene when the nearest hospital was only ten minutes away. 

There was also speculation that Diana was pregnant with Dodi’s child. Pictures had been taken that looked as if she could have been with child. A close friend of Diana’s confirmed that Diana herself had told him that she was pregnant. This information fuels the speculation that the royal family did have something to do with her death. It would give them more of a reason to get rid of Diana. The royal family would never accept a Muslim step brother for the young prince and the future king of England. Also if Diana was pregnant then it would be assumed that she and Dodi would get married. Which again was a problem that concerned the royal family.

              Diana was such a beloved women that was admired all around the world. Her death brought devastating news to all. Diana’s death was hard to accept, especially as just being an accident. Her face will be forever be linked to the conspiracy theories surrounding her death. Diana’s life story may be know my millions, however her death is know all around the world.

  

The Ship That Never Sank

              We all know the great love story of Titanic. The Titanic was called the unsinkable ship, people claimed that not even God could sink that ship. The ship hit an iceberg that caused too much damage to stay afloat. She sank into the Northern Atlantic Ocean only about 400 miles from Canada. Titanic split into to two halves due to immense pressure as the ship was being swallowed by the sea. The ship that was called unsinkable now lies at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean in two pieces.

              

Or does it?

People say that Titanic was the greatest shipwreck of all time, but what if I told you that Titanic never left port on April eleventh. 

              Titanic had a sister ship called the Olympic. The Olympic was damaged in an accident and White Star Line, the company that owned both ships, couldn’t get insurance money for it. The Olympic was basically given a death sentence because of the damages she had received during the accident. White Star Line needed that insurance money because if they didn’t get it they would have gone bankrupt. Isn’t considerably ironic that the Titanic gave them just that, millions in insurance money. Theories are educational guesses that have a great deal of support. However they do not have facts, just support, which means they cannot be accepted as the truth until proof is given with facts. The great Titanic conspiracy theory is a combination of highly strange coincidences, claimed eye witnesses and certain facts that just don’t match up.

              Just before the launch of the Titanic in 1912 the Olympic was slowly starting to resemble the Titanic more and more. They were built as sister ships and created to look almost identical, with only a few minor differences. However, White Star Line was re-designing the Olympic just before the launch of the Titanic. Now why would White Star Line worry about the design aspects of the Olympic considering that the ship was damaged and needed a lot more attention than a design makeover? The Titanic had five port holes on the focsial deck, while the Olympic did not have the five port holes at the time of its launch. In the winter of 1911 the Olympic suddenly appeared with the exact same port hole arrangement as the Titanic. Also there are drawings of both ships after their accidents that show the impact points from the collisions Titanic and Olympic endured. Both ships have almost identical impact points in the drawings. Another eerie fact is that at the launch point were both ships were there is only one dry dock. The Olympic was brought in to have a propeller replaced. That task really should have only taken about two days, the Olympic was at the launching site for one week. The two ships were changing places in and out of the dry dock for a time period of about four days. Many people speculate that this is the moment when the ships were switched. The only things that would have needed to change in order for the ships to switch was rearranging the life boats and changing the name plates on each of the ships.

It is known that out of all of the crew members that sailed Titanic to South Hampton from Belfast only one of those men signed back on to go on Titanic’s maiden voyage. This information is very strange considering that there was a coal strike in Britain and many seamen were out of jobs. So the question is, why would those men willingly give up their jobs? Did they know about the switch, or at least have a pretty good idea that Titanic was never going to set sail for New York on April eleventh 1912? Not only did many of the crew members who built the ship not sign back on but many passengers cancelled their voyages only weeks before the Titanic was to set sail. There were fifty five cancellations, most of them being first class tickets. Also the owner of the ship, James P. Morgan cancelled his voyage as well. His reasoning was ill health, however a French reporter stated that only days after the Titanic set sail he spotted Morgan and his mistress on vacation and his health was not an issue or at least didn’t seem to be. 

The Olympic was to be switch and pose as the Titanic. Then during “Titanic’s” maiden voyage there was to be an “accident” that would provide insurance money to White Star Line and save the company from going belly-up.  Now the story goes that there was a plan to save all of the passengers aboard the Titanic after the accident. Morgan also owned a ship called the Californian. The Californian left the port of London rather quickly and the only explanation given was the ship had to be somewhere for an emergency. On board the Californian was very little people, however there was about three thousand wool sweaters and blankets. Why would a ship with no passengers and no cargo sail into the middle of the Atlantic? The ship was ordered to go at full speed until April fourteenth, when the captain ordered the ship to a stop. However if the plan was to have the Californian come to the rescue then sadly the plan was wreaked. (No pun intended) When the Titanic hit the ice berg Captain Smith swerved the ship and because of the swerve the Titanic was no longer headed in the same direction as the Californian. As the Californian sat and waited, the Titanic was sinking.    

All of this information adds up to support the theory of what would have been the greatest insurance scam in all of history. However the supposed insurance scam turned into a murder scene rather quickly. Titanic was said to be unsinkable, that statement may still may be true. Maybe the Olympic sunk on the night of April fourteenth and not the Titanic. Could all of these claims be true? Could the two ships, Titanic and Olympic really have been switched? People have argued for years about the truth behind the switch theory. The truth behind the real story however can only be found at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. Could the rusted ship at the bottom of the ocean really be the Olympic?

Truth can be a powerful tool, some people spend their whole lives trying to understand it, however very few find what they are searching for. Most of them drowned in their own ambitions.    

The Beginning of the End

I have discovered that I am often attracted to the mystery, death and conspiracy while watching documentaries or when I am reading a book. Something about the chase, the power that questions have as they pour out of my mind, draws me to these dark themes. I often find myself guessing the culprit or outcome of the story as it unfolds. The word conspiracy is defined as “a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful,” which again seems to reel me in as I think about the motives it takes to create such a conspiracy. Conspiracy theories are created by the unwillingness to believe the word of authorities or other persons involved. They are theories which means they cannot be accepted until proven true.

Documentaries are my addiction. I watch anything and everything, however my favorites involve conspiracy theories. Some of my favorites include, The Death of Marilyn Monroe, Titanic: The Great Depression Conspiracy, 911 Exposed, Fema Camp Coffins, The Conspiracy of Princess Diana’s Death, In Search of Our Lost Princess: Anastasia Romanov and Secrets of the Virgin Queen Exposed. The chills that run through my body as I watch such conspiracy theories are addicting just as much as they are scary. I agree that sometimes conspiracies can be outlandish, however if you think about it the dots align perfectly and the motives behind the events seem to benefit some specific people while destroying others.  

              From the very first time I watched a documentary on a conspiracy theory I knew I was hooked. I was in tenth grade and in my history class we were learning about the end of the Romanov rule over Russia. As I sat in class the story that was being told was not the same story I grew up hearing. You see one of my favorite childhood movies is Anastasia, however the endings didn’t match up. I wanted to find out more about the truth behind the ending of the Romanov dynasty. Thus began my addiction to not only documentaries and conspiracy theories, but to the truth.

              I began searching for answers, however those answers just led me to even more questions. With each new topic and story I slowly but peacefully began submerging myself into the theories. My mind wanted to make sense of the theories, but each one had a devastating and deadly (no pun intended) ending. I think my interest in death comes from the unfairness of life. The people involved in each of the conspiracies didn’t have the brightest of lives. Their lives, some may say, were ended for the better.

              I am interested in one thing, the truth. I want to find out what actually happened on all of those days that led to such devastation. As I watch more and more conspiracies I realize that I may never know the complete truth. I have to live with the conspiracy, or choose to create my own. Now, because I am such a nice person, I will drag you into the world of conspiracies as well. You too will be left to put the puzzle pieces together and try to make sense of each one of the stories and the truth that leads behind a trail of devastation.
